About us

The story behind Pen & Pink

Pretty things for people who love paper. Meet the people and the purpose behind our work.

Who we are

Rooted in community, driven by craft

Pen & Pink is a stationery and gift boutique on Shelby Street in Indianapolis, Indiana, owned by Laura McPhee. The shop grew out of Laura's lifelong love of paper, pens, and the small ceremonies of correspondence.

The name says it all: pens for writing, pink for the warmth we try to wrap around everything we do. Inside, you will find a hand-picked mix of writing instruments, journals, cards, and gifts, arranged less like inventory and more like a collection you are invited to explore.

More than a store, Pen & Pink is a gentle campaign for the handwritten word. We host note-writing evenings, help customers choose the right card for hard moments and happy ones, and believe that a thoughtful note is one of the kindest things a person can send.
